This is a personal blog. I'll tend to put really personal stuff behind cuts, but if you see the initials "TMI" (too much information) consider yourself warned before you click! I'll talk about work, politics, and my life here. I teach college courses in mathematics and mathematics education, and I totally fit the stereotype of being extremely liberal and a feminist. I welcome dissent on my journal, as long as it's friendly and intelligent, so feel free to comment. :-)

Infertility has been a big part of my life for the last few years, and all of that struggle recently resulted in the very early birth of of son Carter. He came ten weeks early and in the wrong state -- but we finally have a baby after all our years of struggling.
