There are some Texas-sized squirrels in our backyard, and one in particular likes our deck. She lies flat on the railing, with her little legs hanging off either side. I don't know why she does this, as you'd think it would make her a target for hawks. She particularly likes to lie on a piece of railing very close to the window, and it drives the cats crazy. She just lies there are stares at them, and they stare back. They get frustrated and paw at the blinds, meow, and so on, and she just lies there, watching.
It's kind of funny, actually. :-)
