I've finally broken down and joined Facebook, only because my Up With People cast does all of its communication over there. So feel free to add me as a friend, if you're over there. I'm listed under my email address, I think: jennchsm AT gmail DOT com. I'm used to LJ, so I find it a bit confusing...
I'm currently in Tucson, AZ at my 15 year Up With People reunion. It's crazy that it's been 15 years! There are about 40 people here from my cast, which represents about a third of us. People came from Europe and Australia to be here. So far it's been even more fun than I expected. I have Carter with me, and he's done really well. He's been patient and has been carted around to presentations, meals, various events, and even the era show rehearsal today. I wore him in a sling onstage, and he slept through it all. We'll see how that goes at the show tonight.
We had a great cast meeting this afternoon, with lots of laughter, memories, and tears. It's amazing to see all of these people again, people I lived with for an entire year, and to see that in many ways, they haven't changed. The basic personalities are still the same, but everyone has settled into being adults. And we're all pushing 40, which is truly insane. o_0
BTW, the picture in this icon was taken during my UWP year, while I was doing community service in the Netherlands. Gah, look how young I was...
I'll post more later, but for now, hello form Tucson!
