Hook 'em Horns!

We went downtown for dinner last night and swung by campus to take a picture of the lit tower. I couldn't believe how many people were there! It was insane, and everyone was in UT shirts. It was 9:00 at night, but the place was packed -- and there was nothing special happening -- people were just there to see the Tower and celebrate.
I have a night-shot feature on my camera, but without a tripod it's really hard to take a clear photo. Still, here they are!
This is really blurry, but you can see the crowd. I can't begin to describe the atmosphere there. People were celebrating, still -- days later. It was amazing!

Here's another shot with some of the crowd visible. People were standing on the fountain and having their picture taken too.

Here we are a little closer. I'm sure I blinded all these people, heh.

This is probably the best one.

It looks SO amazing, better than the photos show! Traffic all around campus was incredibly slow -- especially considering that it was 9:00 on a Sunday night! It was even slow on the freeway as you approach downtown. The parts where you could see the Tower from the elevated road moved slowly, and then when the Tower was blocked from view, traffic picked up again! Of course, it's a really huge deal, and the whole city is excited. They only light the Tower like this when a team wins a national championship, so it doesn't happen very often. :-)
